New restaurants/bars applying for liquor licenses. I know some of these are known but a few I hadn't heard of yet....I didn't include places expanding their licenses to 3am or making other changes to their existing licenses...
Our livers have no chance of survival.
Chipotle - 1370 Main (I know this is in P&L but this is the first "in district" liquor license I've seen so thought I'd list it) Cheeseheads - 1616 Grand Cupini's - 25 E 12th G Spot Rock Bar - 423 Southwest Blvd. Jam Central Station - 1522 McGee Jayhawk Bar & Grill - 1915 Main Madrigall - 1627 Oak Paddy O'Quigley's - 100 E. 20th Studio - 1118 McGee The Friend of the River - 1100 Walnut

Jayhawk Bar and Grill (and yes, i'd puke if it was Tiger Bar and Grill or Wildcat Bar and Grill) oh well! At least this will make some KU alumni feel a little more comfortable downtown. So instead of staying in OP to watch the Final Four, they might bring their business downtown.

oh goodness....any alumni that need a bar named after their mascot to feel comfortable, is never really going to feel comfortable downtown.......
I can't believe that will really be the name of the place but you never know.

KU (and MU and KSU and Chiefs) fans pack willie's, tanner's, quaff, cashew, minsky's, and others...i don't object to another sports bar as it takes all kinds, but just struck me as a lame name! /hating

Great news. I'm more excited about the P&L spin-off than I am about the P&L. Jayhawk Bar & Grill is great! When is Harpo's and Rusty's Last Chance going to make the plunge into downtown?
(Or is Willie's a Mizzou bar?)
