We are not very good cooks and are usually too tired after work to cook, but we don't want to spend a lot of money, so what are some good happy hour dinner specials around town? Kona Grill is our favorite, and we've done Pierpont's, Houlihan's and McCormick and Schmidt's, looking for something else preferably downtown or midtown.

when we were just in this week, we went over to meet some friends at 12baltimore, they had $1 off all beers, and $2 off all house wines, and the appetizers were not marked down, however, they have special pricing for happy hour appetizers.

try www.happyhourinfo.info.  my wife and i used to go out separately every friday for happy hour drinks, then meet up for dinner around 8, and i'd check that website to make plans.  you can specify if you're looking for drink or dinner happy hour specials, as well as isolating searches to downtown/plaza/midtown.

that site better watch out...they will start getting businesses in trouble like barscoop did...they had to pull the drink specials off the site for MO bars...idiotic I know.

For food, Arun has some awesome happy hour and reverse happy hour specials.

i second Kona Grill.  their happy hour cannot be beat, especially on nice days when they open those big windows.  the patrons, however, absolutely destroy me.  it's pretty great to be the only person in the room that isn't the color of a ballpark frank.

I was at Ruth's Chris for some drinks on a Thursday after work and a cocktail waitress started coming around with trays with smallish prime rib sandwiches and shrimp wrapped in bacon and some mushroom cap things.  Then the live jazz started.  Pretty awesome.  Food and Entertainment fo free.  Booze regular (expensive) price.

100% Correct on those -- I'm pretty sure the Velvet Dogs runs until 7 also.  No idea on the Drop...i usually use it as a late-night hangout.

Pretty sure last time I went to The Drop it was a 7p end to Happy Hour. Great deal on appetizers/bruscetta - some discounted wine.

McCormick & Schmick's little brother on the Plaza, M & S Grill has a similar happy hour.  $1.95/2.95 food and several drink specials.  It’s a nice place, much bigger on the inside for dining then it looks.

I always wondered if these two were owned by the same parent company, or related or if the name was just a coincidence or what.

Bo Lings in the River Market has cheap apps and beer specials until 6.  Went there on Monday night and ended up getting dumplings, fried eggplant, lettuce wraps and california roll, then splitting a dinner with leftovers for the next day.  Not the best sushi, but for a chinese restaurant, it was pretty good.

Also, La Bodega has 1/2 price tapas from 4-6 on weekdays and 2-4 pm on Saturday, which is one of our favorite things to do...also cheap Sangria!
