apparently the google van stopped by in gillham park last weekend while a kickball tournament was happening. i dont know how many sign-ups they got, and from which neighborhoods, but google is definitely doing its part to get the word out.

The kickball demographic seems like it would already be plowed ground for Google.

Remember too that YouTube Channels and TV will also be offered and will finally get their primetime TV screen debut. Google has pumped up YouTube with high-quality, original content and can now test its market viability against traditional cable fare.

There is still no word on HBO or ESPN, but Showtime and Starz have been added. I imagine lack of ESPN would be a TV dealbreaker for many.

I just found out this week that HBO is owned by Time Warner. I am now less confident that they will get HBO for Google Fiber, seeing as how it is a direct run at the TWC model.
