Top item in the box on the right. I was looking to see if Aixois Brasserie had their liquor license yet (it was too hot and I was too lazy to walk downstairs and ask) and decided to check that other list to see who had gone out of business or been shut down.

Since they're open, it's probably either a tax issue or they didn't get their renewal paperwork in. But it does mean they're not getting any new booze in (at least not legally :-$

What's the deal with Aixois and their liquor license? Why the wait?

Hahah... yeah. According to the list they are at step 2 of something like 6 steps. It can take weeks to months for an existing business to get through all KCMO's red tape just to allow drinks in a new room or on a patio. I can't even imagine how hard it has to be for a new place.

Touche. This is one area in which I really wish KCMO would get it together. Alcohol makes for lively neighborhoods.
