BrookSider Closed For Liquor Law Violation
BrookSider Closed For Liquor Law Violation
A buddy and me went to Hooper's Saturday night and it was so packed with KU fans that we decided to walk over to the Brooksider insted. Sign out front said they were temporally closed due to a Liquor Law Violation. Anyone have a clue whats up?
Couple of girls that were just as disappointed as us DROVE over to Hoopers!
We went on to 75th and had dinner and moved over to Kennides where we drank copious amounts of BLVD Irish Ale, until the tap ran out and they re-taped with Pale Ale. I was in the mood for Irish Ale because I had drank copious amounts at Harry's the night before. I Went there because I had been drinking Irish Ale all afternoon at work with my associates. I bought that Irish Ale because I had gone to the OP in OP and they didn't have it on tap and I was pissed because I had been drinking it all week at home. I had been drinking it all week at home because I drank it at Harry's a couple of weeks ago after hearing about it on this forum/
Ode to Blvd. Irish Ale.
Irish Ale,   If you were a Man   I would take you   Golfing and buy you   Cigars,   Take you to a BAR where you could drink yourself.
If you were a Woman   I would take you   Ice Skating and buy you   A Warm Blanket   To wrap up in as you sat by the FIRE and drank yourself.
If you were a Country Preacher   I would have you over on a Lazy Sunday Afternoon   For Fried Chicken and Lemonade   You would refuse the LEMONADE and drink yourself.
If you were Clint Eastwood   I would help you   Make a Movie that you stared in   highlighting your toughness but   Surprising everyone at the end with your soft side   After kicking Chuck Norris's and Jack Bauer's ASS, you would drink yourself.
And I would drink you, too.

Shinatoo, I would drink Blvd. Irish Ale anyday with you bro. For that matter, I would drink any flavor of Blvd at any fine establishment, preferably 75th St. all day and into the night. Your poem is classic.....I'm sure St. Patrick's Day will be a hoot for you and everybody else in KC!

FUNNIESTÂ All that hard work and you think my prose is FUNNY? OK funny IS what I was going for. All this Irish Ale has made me giddy. Come May (when the Irish runs out) I might be sucking on the end of a shotgun. Nevermind I love ZON too. So anyone know waht happened to the BrookSider????????

I don't know.
My guess: some fratties took their underage girlfriends in, and the bar got popped.

Some hoes from my high school used to love going there. Probably still do.

It's thug-central down in the basement now. If you're not wearing an oversized Raiders jacket and fondling every girl within sight, you're not fitting in.
I'm guessing the college fr, coming home from their first semester at MU, were using bogus fake IDs and being caught like crazy.

I went to the Brooksider once, not a big fan of the underground rufi scene.

Missed the Irish Ale release this year, but great poetry is timeless.

It's kind of sad that I only had to go to page 7 to find this thread.

Re: BrookSider Closed For Liquor Law Violation
The Blvd Irish is as good as usual this year.
I had a microbrew Irish Ale at a joint in Omaha two weeks ago, which exhibited notes of soapiness. Maybe it was a Irish Spring Ale.
