The lady that was there said that they were going to be building some model units but she wasn't sure when that was going to happen or on what floor they were going to do it.

the original post references a 15-story office tower next to the actual P+L building. is that still in the works?

Does anyone else think the parking garage is way too big for the building?

it will be public parking as well....I think it's a good way to fit in parking and have it on the interior of the block and hence mostly out of view.

It does serve as public parking and the parking for the tenants actually have entries directly from the garage into their condos for the lower levels.

Will the walls really be that boring at street level on those two sides?  Looks pretty awesome otherwise.

Do you mean the walls facing the alleys to the west and south?

Yes.  It takes me quite  while to leave my garage, and it's 5 levels.  This'll take forever.

Old Republic building was demo'd today.  I still haven't heard anything from the condo developers in regards to purchasing a unit.  I have walked over there and left my name with the secretary and filled out the info request online two times and still nothing.  I wonder why they aren't getting the number of required reservations to start construction...

Maybe the Urban Living Tour this weekend will spark some interest.

Agreed, presuming they are on the tour again this year, it's worth it just to see the inside of the KCP&L!  Last year they had the setbacks open so you could actually step outside and get some awesome "aerial" shots of downtown.

Stopped by the sales office as part of the Urban Tour. The developer said they have to sell 40 units before construction can begin.

There aren't prices out yet, not reserving till the prices come out.

They said they were waiting on the sub-contractor bids to come back.

Pre-construction sales will be a challenge in this town where buyers want to see the product first and move in within months.

why the sad face cracka?  Nobody is going to reserve a unit until they at least know the price of the unit....it's still in progress.
