No that is the house that the seller of the land that the Wilson brothers bought for the development.  Looks like they paid a pretty penny.  The architecture of the house u/c is better that the Cresta Crappa.

I got the impression the L-shaped house will remain, and the space underneath the present house will be filled in with condos--thus filling out the building's open space.

Here are proposed renderings of the houses being built around it.

The images came from the developers own web site.  They are also the same images Kansas City Home & Garden magazine ran with an article.

those look okay to me.  they are about as "dense" as the other large single-family homes over there and while the styling is not really my thing, i can see how it could be appealing.  i wish they would have gone more modern though, like the 16th and Summit condos.

Probably easier to get past the neighborhood association as is, though

It's one of my favorite neighborhoods, I do hope the result is something that is equally as stunning as the Victoirans on that street already.  Too bad they haven't been rennovated.

Looks like they are moving stuff out today.  Also, the earth shelter church next door was demolished a couple weeks ago.  It appears that they are getting ready to prepare the site for building.

That looks like a great project that's not too flashy or out-of-place. Just a nice quiet row of houses.

On the bottom of that site, the panoramic photo shows the slope up to the CBD in a way I've never seen before (because I'm always going up the slope on I-35). Cool!

Most of the Victorians on that hill have been renovated!  Only one or two are left in semi-bad shape.

The L is under demolition right now...the top is gone and the garage/entry level is barely standing.  Kind of sad to see it gone as the building always inspired wonder and curiosity from passers by.
